Girl Fight , which is a fictionalized version of the events that happened to Lindsay, aims to shed a light on teen bullying. Jodelle Ferland plays 16-year-old Haley, a brainy girl who endures cyber-bullying and later physical bullying at the hands of other girls in her class. Anne Heche plays Haley's mother.

Ferland felt like the story of Girl Fight is a universal one that transcends beyond Victoria Lindsay: "She’s just a normal girl trying to fit in. How she got through it [the attack] showed a lot of courage. She was angry, but she never wanted revenge.”

Bullying has become a hot topic in Hollywood. Stars like Lady Gaga and Demi Lovato have been very vocal in speaking out against bullying of all forms.
