The movie "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" is remarkable action movie in world. This is one engrossing and highly suspenseful piece of filmmaking in the crime thriller genre. First off, the cinematography and the overall visual tonality is reminiscent of film noir, setting the mood effectively.
Another measure of success is how quickly the film has elicited my empathy and even compassion for the female protagonist. It can make an ear and nose-pierced, misanthropic, rage-wrapped goth to become the heroine within minutes into the film.
Although his involvement has been rumored for the past few months, The Playlist has confirmed David Fincher will follow up his Facebook-inspired project The Social Network with an English-language remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
The U.S. remake of the hit 2009 Sweedish film (which itself was based off the first entry in the successful Millennium trilogy written by the late Stieg Larsson) will be produced by Scott Rudin with Steve Zaillian (the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Schindler’s List) currently set to pen the screenplay.
